A useful tech pack gives the manufacturer a single source of truth for developing a custom sports product. It does not need to be complicated, but it should remove avoidable guesswork.
Product drawings and references
Include front, back, and detail views where possible. Reference images can clarify the intended silhouette, panel construction, pocket placement, closures, or protective zones.
Materials and color standards
Describe the required fabric or leather type, weight, stretch, finish, lining, padding, and performance expectations. Use Pantone or another agreed color reference when color accuracy matters.
Sizing and measurements
Provide the target size range and measurement chart, including tolerances when available. Confirm whether the product follows US, EU, youth, adult, or a custom sizing system.
Branding and packaging
Supply vector logo files and identify each printing, embroidery, patch, label, hang-tag, barcode, polybag, and carton requirement. Clear placement dimensions make sample approval faster.
